ZE PAK purchases first hydrogen fueling stations for cars and buses – implements green strategy
ZE PAK SA, an electricity producer from Zygmunt Solorz’s Group, thanks to a contract with Nel Hydrogen (Nel), purchased green hydrogen fueling stations for cars and buses. These will be the first ZE PAK hydrogen stations in Poland.
Modern fueling stations were purchased from the world leader in hydrogen infrastructure, the Norwegian company Nel. The stations will be adapted to fuel passenger cars, buses and trucks. Delivery of the stations is planned for 2021.
- I believe that the hydrogen economy can play a key role in the efforts of ZE PAK, as well as Poland, to achieve the goals set during climate conference in Paris in 2015. Green hydrogen seems to be the best solution that can help in the effective decarbonisation of many areas of the Polish economy. It is also an important part of ZE PAK green transformation – said Zygmunt Solorz.
The purchase and installation of fueling stations is another link in the hydrogen economy chain consistently built by ZE PAK, and one of the elements of ZE PAK green strategy. As part of the transformation, in 2021, the largest photovoltaic farm in Poland with a capacity of 70 MWp will be commissioned in Brudzew commune, and in Konin - an electrolyser for the production of green hydrogen will start its operation.
- What is important, is the fact that we focus on green hydrogen, i.e. completely zero-emission solution – says Zygmunt Artwik, Vice President of ZE PAK SA Management Board.
Nel, a company that ZE PAK bought the stations from, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of hydrogen technologies, including electrolysers and hydrogen fueling stations.
- We are excited to enter another country in Europe with our H2Station fuel solutions. We see attractive market opportunities in Poland and we are proud that ZE PAK, which is a leading energy company in Poland with interesting plans to build a green hydrogen value chain, has chosen our fuel solutions – says Jens Egholt, Senior Director Global Sales of Nel Hydrogen Fueling.
- The cooperation with Nel, a world leader in hydrogen solutions, is particularly important to us, because thanks to this, the best and highest quality fuel solutions will be introduced in Poland – added Zygmunt Artwik, Vice President of ZE PAK SA Management Board.
The use of green hydrogen produced by ZE PAK SA is an ideal step towards the complete elimination of harmful substances emitted by transport.
The entire project is also part of the activities undertaken by the Clean Poland Program Association, established by Zygmunt Solorz.
