Earth Festival 2020 was already held for the third time on August 22 and 23, 2020 in Uniejów. The idea of the festival is to draw attention to the environmental problems that our planet Earth struggles with every day. Huge changes taking place on our planet, including the climatic ones, have a tremendous impact on the lives of each of us. That is why – as the organizers of the festival write on their website – "with all our experience and passion, we want to join an ever wider stream of people's involvement around the world to reverse the process of this degradation”.

The strategic partners of the Festival are Telewizja Polsat, the Clean Poland Association, whose members include Zespół Elektrowni Pątnów - Adamów - Konin SA (ZE PAK SA), Uniejów Thermal Health Resort and Uniejów Thermal Springs. The honorary patronage was taken by the Ministry of Climate and the Marshal of the Łódź Province.

An Eco-town was created as part of the festival. You can find there educational and entertainment eco-zones: the zone of the Clean Poland Program Association and the Polsat Foundation, the Polkomtel zone – the Plus telephone network operator, the Cyfrowy Polsat zone, the Esoleo zone – the supplier of photovoltaic systems, the hydrogen zone of ZE PAK SA and the zone of Uniejów Thermal Health Resort.

In the hydrogen zone of ZE PAK SA, a TOYOTA hydrogen car and a prototype of a bicycle using hydrogen for propulsion were presented. It operates by collecting hydrogen in a special high-pressure cylinder installed on the bicycle frame. When the cylinder valve is opened, the hydrogen is directed to the fuel cell, which converts it into electricity to drive the bicycle engine. The prototype was created and presented by students of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.

Owing to the high involvement of ZE PAK SA in the energy transition process and plans to launch a hydrogen production system, a model presenting the mechanism of hydrogen energy generation was placed on the Company's stand.

Henryk Sobierajski, the President of the Management Board of ZE PAK SA, could not miss the festival by briefly presenting the company's plans for energy transition in one of the interviews. He stressed that “the company commenced a very difficult, four-layer just energy transition process in the region. In 10 years, we should be a very strong producer of green energy. In the near future, this will include the photovoltaic farm in Brudzewo and biomass units at the Konin power plant – we will keep you informed about further investments”.

The festival culminated in the concert of "STARS FOR CLEAN POLAND", during which the greatest artists of the Polish scene performed, including Beata Kozidrak and BAJM, Kayah, Golec uOrkiestra.

The message that accompanied the two-day meeting oscillated around the idea of For the Earth, For Us. This idea, resulting from the perception of the progressive degradation of the quality of life on Earth by the Wielkopolska region power industry representatives, accompanies the entire ZE PAK SA Group. And based on the idea of the Clean Poland Program association, announced by Zygmunt Solorz, co-owner of the Polsat Group and ZE PAK SA Group, it is evident that even the smallest actions to stop these negative changes make sense.

Hence the Earth Festival, an event promoting ecology, a concert of the great stars of the Polish stage and several hundred thousand people already supporting the Clean Poland Program association, which is constantly developing and gaining new supporters.
